Sandra Backlund is an extremely innovative and talented knit designer.
I discovered her in 2009 during my fashion design studies and was blown away by her pieces.
She highlights and transforms the human silhouette by creating garments with particular shapes to enhance or hide the figure.
She creates three dimensional garments onto models which almost look like a sculpture. She was handcrafting everything on her own for other designer labels, made to measure. But now has some extra help in her studio as she works on her own collections...
